5 Delightful Ways to Create A Perfectly Unique Wedding This Season

Spring is in the air, which means wedding season is almost upon us! I love this time of year. It is a time of joy and new beginnings. Since it’s never too early to start planning for your big day, here are a few ideas you might consider to create a perfectly unique storybook wedding this season:

Be Bold. Deciding on a color palette can be overwhelming. It can be challenging to find a color palette that brings everything together in the way you imagine.  There is so much to consider–season, location, time of day. I am drawn to soft, neutral colors with bold splashes of vibrant color.  Make an elegant statement with gorgeous bouquets full of bold, bright colors set against the soft white tone of your dress. Consider crisp white or ivory tablecloths with beautiful, bold table accents like napkins and glassware. This is a great way to stand out while remaining elegant and classy.

Be Refreshing. The classic sit-down, multiple course meal, is of course a choice that will never go out of style, but try opting for a unique dining experience that will leave your guests in awe. A few out-of-the-ordinary dining options include: food trucks, an entire dessert buffet, a farm-to-table experience, a pig roast, or a completely gluten-free dinner. Those are just a few ideas and upcoming trends, but with a little imagination and your personal touch the options are endless.

Be Dazzling. Lighting can really influence the tone of a wedding. A fun, rising trend is incorporating chandeliers and exotic looking lanterns. Adding interesting lighting can give your wedding a unique quality that reflects your personal style.

Be Trendy. As the old adage goes: out with the old and in with the new! Instead of holding your wedding reception at a typical venue, consider somewhere a bit more out of the ordinary. I love the idea of museums, loft spaces, barns, and favorite restaurants to incorporate your lifestyle.

Be Thoughtful. I know you adore your bridesmaids! Of course you want to get them an amazing gift to show your appreciation for their participation in your dreamy wedding. Instead of settling for something predictable, think more outside the box. Likely, each of your bridesmaids has a different style and personality. My advice is to try and find a gift that speaks to each individual. For example, for the mother in your group, a gorgeous pendant with her kids’ initials would be a sweet, thoughtful gift. For the fellow newlywed, a wedding date pendant would be so special. Luckily, I know the perfect place for you to shop.

Wedding planning is super exciting, but remember–try to relax! There are so many details to sort out and ideas to consider, and I hope my tips were helpful.  But this is your big day so you should ENJOY it.  Savor the time preparing for this monumental day. This time is all about you and your honey. So be true to yourself and your style, and you’re sure to have an incredible, stunning, memorable storybook wedding!
